The safe transport and transfer / handling of hot bitumen requires the use of suitable equipment and proven practices to minimize the potential danger of being burned by either the hot bitumen or a contact burn from the hot hose.

Bitumen hoses are generally used at temperatures not exceeding 200 deg C, but are required to be able to withstand temperatures of up to 250 deg C with working pressures in the range of -15 kPa to +800 kPa. These pressures are dependent on the method of loading or unloading, used at the plant or on site. A Bitumen hose assembly needs to have electrical conductivity to prevent sparks during coupling and uncoupling of the hose.

Above 2 1/2” interlocked transfer hose complete with AS 2475 threaded hose connection fittings for bituminous material in Bronze, and Aluminium. Made to suit customer required length.

Features: bigger bend radius, more weight per meter, hose sealed by silicone packing in-between the interlocked  layers of the hose and AS2475 threaded hose connections should be fitted by experts only.
